Beskrivning: We are an ecological hotel located at the banks of Lake of Atitlán, in the community of San Juan. Here you can walk and explore with tranquility. There are many relaxing places to stay or to explore explore. Take a look of our vegetable and fruit gardens. Take a hot sauna or temascal and a jacuzzi; ride a horse, swim, fich or use the canoe and the cayuco.

We recommend you to visit houses, shops and painters and weavers who have in the community their production centers, particularly textiles. You will be able to buy products so varied as robes, haversacks, cloths, hammocks. Some weavers are starting again to elaborate textiles with their ancestral techniques. Coming from the hotel you will have a very friendly demostration.

Our restaurant looks like the church of the community. It has a beautifull view to the lake. Our specialty are dishes elaborated with local recipes, including fish and crabs. You can communicate your wishes and preferences, which will be personally attended. At night we recommend a mint tea or a tea of orange leaves. You enjoy exquisite meals, natural beverages and desserts. We also have wines, beers and other drinks.

All rates (of the rooms) include taxes and a delicius breakfast.

The bungalows just include taxe because they are equipped.

Our restaurant, Tip in Do'd, is named after the local words for crabs and caracoles which grow abundantly in the lake. We serve local and international dishes with organically grown vegetables and fish and crab caught in the lake.

Our organic garden has twenty different medicinal herbs. Vegetables from the garden are served in the restaurant.

The restaurant is managed by two families from San Juan. They receive 85% of the restaurant's revenues. Three meals and two coffee breaks cost $15 per day.

Uxlabil Atitlan promotes authentic eco-tourism.

The hotel has been built with carved stone ezcavated from the mountain. Homes have been built this way for centuries by the Tzutuhil Mayan that inhabits this region.
