Beskrivning: Casita Zumbador is a small, brand-new, 12' x 16' cabin in a wooded setting in the Casa Picaflores compound. The casita can sleep one person or a couple, possibly with a very small child. The 'bed' is actually a full-size futon that can be folded up during the day, to allow for more living space. There is also a balcony running the length of the front, which has two chairs and a bistro table, as well as a small grill available for those who would like to barbecue. The casita has a small yard of its own, bordered by bananas, breadfruit, orange and grapefruit trees, coconut palms and a tiny stream; guests are, of course, welcome to any fruit they can gather. It's a small, quiet place in the jungle, probably best enjoyed for three or four nights at a time, not six or seven.

This is not a honeymoon suite. Casita Zumbador is designed to be a clean, simple place for an outdoorsy person or couple to lay their heads for a few nights while hiking, swimming and exploring on this end of the island. As such, it is small, no-frills, and not for the finicky. There is no air conditioning; a ceiling fan and three windows keep things reasonably cool inside. There is no television, no telephone, no mini-fridge, and the water in the shower is comfortable, but not hot. There is a television with DVD in El Bohio, close to the casita, and we have a sizable collection of DVDs that may be checked out at no charge. Guests have full access to the hot tub area, El Bohio, and all of the services (massage, optional dinner and breakfasts) that Casa Picaflores offers.
