I wanted to build a hotel like a Kasbah, in the traditional way of this region. It took 4 years and some stamina to build and finish... In 1998 we opened our Kasbah Hotel as an accomplished synthesis of the Saharan landscape, its specific colors and arid sanddunes with the unexpected comfort of its interior. My personnel are local Berbers. Our restaurant serves authentic berber cuisine. Our hotel bar offers the best of Moroccan wines, beers and international brands of liquor.

Then inspired by the black Saharan sky we installed SaharaSky, the first private observatory in North Africa. Equipped with state of the art GPS amateur telescopes.

It was not always easy... I am proud, that my hotel belongs to the 100 leading special places so close to the Sahara Desert.

Opened in 1998, the hotel has 3 stars for it's comfort and facilities inside....and a million stars, viewable outside in the Sahara Sky!

Built in the Kasbah style of southern Morocco, we have 16 rooms with 40 beds in the configuration of:

3 Mini suites, with air conditioning, Private bathrooms and Moroccan lounges with satellite TV or sound system and Large terraces overlooking the dunes of Tinfou.

13 Standard rooms with single, twin queen and twin King size beds, air conditioning, Ensuite bathrooms and large terraces overlooking the desert.

There is a very personal atmosphere in the hotel and friendly service. German ownership.

We are situated in an excellent point of departure for excursions in normal car or 4x4 to the highest sand dunes of the Moroccan Sahara and private casbahs of medieval life style.

The hotel is under German ownership and has a fully licensed , well stocked bar offering high quality Moroccan beers and wines.

Located on 3 Hectares of it's own grounds, the hotel assures privacy and absolute rest. We also have secure car parking with Sun protection, within the hotel grounds.

In 2005 we added SaharaSky, the first private starwatching station in Morocco.

With no light pollution in the Sahara, the observatory offers the unique opportunity to experience the sky at night after dinner, at the invitation of the Director.
