Описание: In the center of the Pianura Padana, in the picturesque village of Rivalta sul Mincio, 10 kms from Mantova, rising just a few metres from the river, is the new and modern Hostel Mincio. The hostel is an ideal base for people to familiarise themselves with the reality of the Mincio valleys, an excellently preserved marshland environment which belongs to the Park del Mincio. The rich birdlife, with the expanses of marshy reeds, myriads of cannals and mirrors of water are visitable with canoes or boats; the excursionists can journey by foot or by bicycle on various itineraries and reach regions with varied places of interest, such as the morainic hills and Lake Garda (km 35). Apart from Mantova, it is possible to visit other important historical cities such as Verona (40 kms), Cremona (50 kms), Brescia (60 kms) and Parma (60 kms). Next to the youth hostel there are various food services available and it is possible to visit the Center Parco-Museo del Mincio to use the ample green area. 3 kms from the youth hostel there is a new sports center which offers covered and open air swimming pools with a thermal spa center. In the hostel it is possible to rent canoes and bicycles whilst in the local restaurants you can taste the gastronomic specialities from the area (pumpkin tortellini, risotto, meats, fresh water fish, lambrusco and wines of the Morainic Hills).
