3. LOCATION

The A&O HOSTEL Munich has both hotel and hostel rooms.

The hotel single and double rooms are light, have modern furnishings and are equipped with a shower/ bath, WC, hairdryer, television and a balcony. The hotel also has family rooms which sleep two adults and two children.

The hostel part of the house offers large multi- bed rooms at a low price, great accommodation for groups. In addition the hostel also offers rooms that sleep 4- 6 people, as well as single and double rooms.

4. FUN

The A&O HOSTEL Munich has two bars. Enjoy a cool beer or small snack on the roof terrace of our “Mountain View Bar”. In our Premiere Sportsbar occasionally evening arrangements take place. Book a trip, theatre tickets and tickets for many other attractions in Munich directly from our A&O reception. Our young and friendly personnel are on reception 24hrs for your convenience. Play a group game of billiards or darts. We also have some videogames to entertain our guests. Or rent one of our bicycles and explore Munich at your own pace.

Take a small trip in the world of film and television with a guide through the Bavarian film town.

6. Sightseeing (tickets can be booked at reception)

- Deutsches Museum

Book yourself a guide through the Deutsches Museum you will see Masterpieces as well as learn about natural science and technology.

- Day Trips to Nachwanstein and Linderhof.

This tour enables you to visit two dream castles at once. After a short stop in Oberammergau, you have four hours to explore the castle Nachwanstein with a lunch break in Hohenschwangau.

- Town walks and round trips.

We organise you a personal guide for a round trip in a bus or a town walk with a choice between cultural, political or tourist themes- to suite each individual wish. If necessary we will happily organise you a bus (please ask for prices). Here are a couple of examples of tours you can take:

- From the Frauenkirche to the Olympic stadium/ From the Rathaus to the Lustschloss:

A look behind the scenes: What led to their existence? What significance do the have now? What unites them? Duration 3hrs (MVV- public transport ticket will be needed)

- KZ Memorial Dachau: Authority and persecution in National Socialism. This four hour tour unites Munich the “Hauptstadt der Bewegung” (Capital of the Movement) with a visit to KZ Dachau. (MVV- public transport ticket will be needed)

9. Our Security.

We have security in our hostel at night to keep the house peaceful, insuring you have an undisturbed sleep.

10. Some General Information.

- Ladies, in the event that you are an individual traveller and have booked a space in a multi- bed dorm we would like to inform you that we offer ‘Shared Women Dorms’ if you would prefer.

- The hostel’s multi- bed rooms require full payment in advance and there is a deposit when renting bed linen (3 €) and hand towels (1 €). Breakfast is not included when you have booked a space in a multi- bed room (6 €). In our single and double bed rooms breakfast, bed linen and hand towels are inclusive.

- In all A&O Hotels and Hostels pets are allowed at an extra 5 € charge per night only in single and double bed rooms, please inquire beforehand.

- Conference rooms and technical appliances are available, please inquire beforehand.

CHECK IN 4 p.m.

Reserved rooms shall be available for occupancy from 4 p.m. on the agreed day of the client’s arrival. The client shall not be entitled to occupy the room(s) earlier than this.

CHECK OUT 10 a.m. (11 a.m. at the weekend)

On the agreed day of departure the client must vacate the room by 10 a.m. at the latest. If the client does not vacate the room by this time we shall be entitled to charge 50% of the full room rate as published in the price list until 6 p.m. for reasons of non-contractual occupation, and if the client vacates the room after 6 p.m. 100% of the full room rate will be charged. This shall not constitute any contractual claims on the part of the client.

CANCELLATION CONDITIONS

- Until two days prior to arrival before 6 o’clock pm (local time at hotel/hostel) free of charge. In case of cancellation after this period a cancellation fee of 100% of the first night will be charged. In a case of non-arrival 100% of booking costs will be charged. It’s the same for short-term bookings, within two days before arrival.

- Any discounts or special offers booked through online booking engines cannot be cancelled.

For groups from 10 people we have special cancellation and payment conditions. Our reservation department will contact you!!!

- 8 weeks prior to arrival date free of charge

- from 55 days to 5 days prior to arrival date 50% of the agreed total price

- from 4 to 2 days prior to arrival date 75% of the agreed total price

- one day prior to arrival date 90% of the agreed total price

We will debit 50% of the agreed total price 8 weeks or less than 8 weeks before arrival from your credit card.
