The hotel is in the centrally located main street of the 4th district. Wiedner Hauptstrasse, which farther down passes on into Kaertnerstrasse, the main pedestrian zone in the very heart of the city. A few meters from the hotel, in Johann-Strauß-Gasse 4. There was the palace of Johann Strauß the Younger, and not far from there, in the Freihaus Theater, Mozart conducted the world premiere of his Magic Flute in 1791.
