Welcome in the Hotel and Café the 'Altstadtengel' in Regensburg! The owners, family Berr and the team of the Altstadtengel hope you will feel comfortable in our historical rooms.

With the opening of the hotel Altstadtengel we fulfilled ourselves a life-long dream. With lots of love for detail we restored the 17 individually designed rooms and the café 

We managed to combine the three architectural styles of our house, gothic, baroque and renaissance with modern comfort.

Since all the rooms of our historical building are under monument protection we were not able to build in an elevator. Every room is themed differently and represents a piece of the history of Regensburg. Possibly you might stay in the Hutmacherzimmer (Hatter Room) or Brauereizimmer (Brewery Room! You will be surprised to see which part of history you will experience while staying at our hotel!

However, you won't have to miss out on modern communication such as

DSL-internet connection in the rooms.
