The best LOCATION!

City Backpackers hostel is situated in a beautiful 19th Century building, right in the middle of Stockholm, only ten minutes walk from the central station. Our neighbourhood has some of the best bars, clubs and cafés in Scandinavia, and the main shopping street of Stockholm, Drottninggatan, is just around the corner. It will lead you to the best spots in town, like Gamla Stan, or The Old Town. This is the medieval part of Stockholm and has a unique atmosphere. A must for any visitor to Stockholm.

NO LOW-SEASON!

City Backpackers is designed to be the perfect meeting place. You are guaranteed to meet other travellers from all over the world. We never have less than 50 young travellers staying with us on any single day of the year. This hostel is the ultimate, cosmopolitan melting pot.

City Backpackers is open 365 days a year and has no curfew. No hostel membership is needed.

The DORMS!

You can stay in a room with two, four, six, eight, eleven or 12 beds (the two-bedded rooms can only be booked directly through the hostel). Female dorms are provided. There are 15 toilets and 19 showers. Five of the showers are private, the rest are shared. Some of our rooms have private bathrooms. We also have two apartments for up to six people with private bathroom, shower and kitchen.

Note: Sheets, pillow cases and duvet covers are a must-have. You can bring your own to cut costs, or rent them for 50 SEK.

The cosy COMMON AREAS!

There are plenty of common areas in the hostel were you can hang out and meet other travellers, or get a moment to yourself. Use our cozy courtyard in the summertime, or if it is chilly, stay indoors and wrap a blanket around you in one of our comfy sofas. We have a large fully equipped guest kitchen where you meet new friends while saving money by cooking your own food. There’s also a great, new backpacker café with breakfast, sandwiches, cookies, snacks and hot and cold drinks all day long. When you want to relax there is a hot sauna and lounge areas with daily newspapers available.

Cleanliness!

For hygienic reasons no outdoor shoes are allowed in the hostel and bed linen is compulsory for all guests. Our toilets, showers and common areas are checked three times daily to make sure they are clean.

The FUN!

Our staff know better than any tour company what our guests like. That's why we take turns showing you the city. We offer a very popular and incomparable Viking Sauna Tour during winter season, and a variety of other tours all year round. Our staff is happy to give you inside info about the best clubs in Stockholm any given night.

The highest SECURITY!

We use door codes instead of keys for maximum security, and change the codes often. There are lockers both inside and outside the dorms. By a cheap padlock from us or bring your own. Before you check in or after you have checked out you can keep your bags in our luggage room.

City BackPackers has an environmental-friendly approach. We love this planet, and wan to save it! Our efforts include waste recycling, electricity from renewable sources, energy efficient white-wares and light bulbs, no smoking and an over all environmental policy.

PLEASE NOTE

If you change your travel plans you must cancel minimum 24 hours before arrival to get your money back. If not, the first night will be charged.

We have higher prices on Fridays and Saturdays, for guests who only want to stay on those nights. To get the best price you simply include a Thursday or a Sunday night in your stay!
