The Favela Inn Hostel is located in Chapéu Mangueira, one of the first favelas to benefit from the favela pacification programme launched in December 2008. If you wish to experience life in a favela community, Favela Inn is an ideal hostel to stay at. In a relaxed and safe atmosphere, with a clean environment, you will find comfort and a professional staff. All of this is just a 10-minute walk from the famous Copacabana beach. All Favela Inn rooms have a view of the beach and can host up to six people; each room has its own private bath. Guests have access to the internet, wi-fi and reception desk 24 hours a day. The terrace, or laje, as we call it here in the favela, offers a superb view of Copacabana, an urban forest at the top of the hill and our neighboring Babilonia community. The terrace also has a bar, TV, mini library, a lounge and dining area.

The owners and staff are native to the community, making it possible for our guests to have direct contact with those who have intimate knowledge of the place and its surrounding areas.
