The Woodquay Hostel is located in the heart of Galway on the west coast of Ireland. We offer comfortable accommodation in a friendly atmosphere at a budget price.

The Hostel is in a safe and central position near the bus and train stations and a stone's throw from the main shopping and cultural sites of Galway City, “home to a super mix of pubs, clubs and restaurants, its 'buzzing' scene of music and theatres with shops and cafes lining the narrow cobbled streets”.

Galway is a fast growing city where the modern meets the traditional on almost every street corner. It is an ideal spot from which to begin a trip further west along the coast of Connemara, to head across the sea to the Aran Islands or to further inland.

Galway is also notorious for its many historic sites which you can visit, from the famous Salmon Weir Bridge, historic Galway Cathedral through to the beautiful beaches in Salthill which are all within walking distance of the hostel.
