We are located in the famous ' Plaza Independencia' right in front of the main entrance to the 'Old Town' ( Puerta de la Ciudadela). This is the entrance to the old fortress of Montevideo.

Now it´s the most turistic area of our capital. This part of town is plenty of Museums, a Catedral of 250 years old, a Theater 152 years old ( Teatro Solis ), The Cabildo of Montevideo and the ' Peatonal Sarandí', the most visited street in Montevideo. Only 10 blocks from the Hostel is the most famous turistic building of Montevideo ' El mercado del Puerto'. A very old market with local exquisit food, live music and lot´s of local Art .

The hostel has more than thirty rooms, with and without private bathroom: we offer singles, doubles, triples, quadruples, and dorms. We have a beautiful central patio, covered with an original skylight which allows it to open up and discover a hidden backyard.
