Berlin Mitte's Backpacker Hostel established itself here in the centre of Berlin in the mid 90's. The first Hostel to take it's place in Berlin's scarred, inner-city void, Mitte's Backpacker Hostel has elevated itself from a spontaneous collection of cots thrown into an empty fabric to a tightly run, budget traveller's dream. The increasing competition demands that we at Mitte's Backpacker offer travellers everything that they may need during their stay in Berlin, from walking tours to international bus tickets, from speedy internet connection to bike rentals, around the clock, every day of the year. We provide for what most travellers set out to find - a clean and cosy place to spend the night with a kitchen to prepare meals and comfortable lounge to relax in. We also employ travellers to work the place, provide information and organise reservations/travel plans for our guests. Over the years, guests have also been invited to decorate the rooms of the hostel. Travelling artists with their diverse international influences have designed the hostel rooms. Our 'Underwater Room' is a favourite space amongst guests, and was a project carried out by two former guests of the hostel. The two ladies from Turkey and Sweden matched their respective esoteric ideas to create something unique, transforming Room 406 into a serene, relaxing dorm space. Other rooms feature the work of our American artist, Jessica. Her rooms sit around Herman Hesse poetry and Marlene Dietrich portraits. Other rooms designed by German guests take you away to exotic lands like India or the Middle East. We also boast our own gorgeous Honeymoon Suite.

Please Note: Bedlinen are not included in the prices mentionend. The use of bed linen is obligatory and a one-off-fee of 2,50€ is charged per person. Alternatatively you can bring your own linen or sleeping bag.
