Holmvik Brygge - Nakvynės namai į Nyksund, Norvegija

In former times Nyksund was a booming fishing village. But in the 80´s there were practically no one living there and the town slowely turned into a ghosttown.

Many years later a German found Nyksund and initiated a restoration. People from all over the world came to Nyksund to help rebuild the village.

Now several hotels during the summer, a Café, a small shop, a gallery and a museum wait for the guests.

Holmvik Brygge opened in 1999, the Cafe started in 2000 and the Shop in 2001. The hostel, with its relics and photos provides a unique document of the past that is easy to understand. Holmvik Brygge offers adequate comfort for individual travellers. Guests can rent a singelroom, a double or 3-bed room or a familyroom. Besides the room they will share kitchen, bathroom, living-room and a fire-room with the other, max 19 guests. The hotel has 8 bedrooms with all in all 19 (21) beds, besides 3 showers and 2 toilets. Each room has got its own individual style, but the atmosphere of the old fishermen's days has been preserved.
