Welcome to The Fylde; the only accredited Backpackers Hostel in Blackpool. We offer a friendly welcome, clean and comfy ensuite accommodation, spacious sun lounge, Basement Games Room with pool table and free internet. Centrally located to the attractions and town centre we are the perfect base for exploring Blackpool and meeting new people. Our Backpacking hostel offers 10 modern ensuite private rooms. For a quick overnight stay or a long weekend break we offer comfortable public areas and bedrooms to ensure you feel at home. We concentrate on providing guests with a hearty breakfast, clean accommodation and home cooked food throughout the evening. Located in central Blackpool we are fortunate to be within a ten minute walk to most of the famous attractions, town center and the Promenade. Catering for couples, international travelers, business travelers, families, conference delegates, school groups and dance groups; the Fylde offers a friendly and quiet retreat to make your stay more enjoyable. We aim to provide our guests with a high standard of cleanliness and comfort throughout their stay. We offer a spacious and comfortable sun lounge with Freeview TV, DVD player, Free Internet station, WI-FI, a good selection of books and a comfortable environment for you to relax and watch the world go by in.

We can cater for small groups and specialist groups. Unfortunately we do not accept Stag or Hen parties. We can sleep 27 people, or 20 people in single beds. Please contact the groups department for further information as we can provide a tailor made package for your stay.

Location Information

Blackpool is an excellent base if you are planning on exploring Lancashire; it offers an excellent motorway and road network. We also have great rail links, ferry links and easy access to three International airports (Blackpool, Liverpool and Manchester). Lancashire is a beautiful county, with spectacular scenery and breathtaking coastline including Blackpool, the UK’s most popular seaside resort. Our accommodation ‘The Fylde’ is located in the holiday area of Blackpool and centrally located to all of the main attractions in Blackpool. Blackpool Pleasure Beach is about a 20 minute walk south from the hotel. Across the road from the Pleasure Beach you will find the South Pier and the Sandcastle water-park which is one of the largest indoor water parks in Europe. It is ideal on a rainy day! More centrally located attractions such as the Sea life centre, the waxworks, Dr Who exhibition and Blackpool Tower are all within a ten minute stroll of the hotel. For those that are looking at watching a show you can visit the Blackpool Grand Theatre in the Town centre. You will also find that Blackpool holds many conferences and competitions at the Winter Gardens and holds fantastic shows and concerts throughout the year in the Opera House and Empress Ballroom. Participants and families of Blackpool Dance competitions and conference delegates will find it is in walking distance to the venue. For the more independent travellers, walkers and cyclists Lancashire and the Wyre can open a haven of adventure. We can offer the facilities to store your bikes and boots and provide packed lunches for your days of exploration
