It is not allowed to put up new constructions here. The restored old mansions and churches are used as museums, concert halls, and other cultural institutes. Numerous cafes, shops and clubs are situated in this safe area. It takes you only 4 minutes walking from the metro station Kitai Gorod. 10 min. walking to Red Square, a stone throw to many sights of the city.
