Located in the heart of Beijing, the Jade International Youth Hostel has the international traveller in mind. You’ll notice from the first moment that our Hostel has a very unique “east meets west” style. The rich marble floors, fresh flowers, and traditional chinese decor in the foyer are enhanced by the vast skylight above.

With its central location (just a 10 minute walk from the east gate of the Forbidden City) you can reach almost everything by foot. A 5 minute walk east and you’ll be in shopping heaven at the Wangfujing Shopping Street. Experience the famous Donghuamen Night Market which is highly recommended by the publication Lonely Planet, or take in the Beijing Opera which is put on every evening accompanied with english subtitles. Many small side streets called “Hutongs” are scattered throughout Beijing. These Hutongs have many stores, restaurants, coffee & tea shops, and walk-up windows with a wide variety of foods to sample. Take a rickshaw ride through the bar area known as “HouHai” which has a very festive atmosphere. Or take a romantic tour down the river on an old fashioned gondola.

Everything you need to be comfortable and relaxed is right here in the Jade Youth Hostel. Our large imperial styled restaurant (serving a wide variety of western and chinese dishes for breakfast, lunch, and supper) is located just adjacent to our cozy bar, both of which are accessed through our lobby. We offer a laundry room with a washer and dryer, a guest kitchen with all the ammenities, a internet cafe, wireless internet throughout the main floor, 6 guest business rooms, and a shop for traveler essentials.
