Welcome to Karlstad, the sun of Sweden, as our town is known as.

We are close to Oslo, Norway, and Karlstad is the perfect place to stayover if you are travelling between Oslo and Stockholm.

At Karlstad Hostel you will stay within walking distance of the city centre. The standards of our facilities are high and guests often say it feels like a hotel rather than a hostel. - A great compliment that we are proud to live up to!

We have 40 rooms both private and dormitories, in a beautiful old building that was renovated in 2007.

We have a breakfast room, guest kitchen and a common room with TV. Shower and toilet facilities are provided in the corridor on all of our 4 floors.

The big river Klarälven flows through our beautiful town and right in the centre you will find a great place to lie in the sun and swim on warm summer days. Shopping, swimming and/or relaxation, it's up to you!
