An apartment in Bergamo A&A Massara is located close to the ancient town, or Città Alta, in the middle of the medieval part of Bergamo. It is easy to reach the Orio al Serio airport and Bergamo central station.
The apartment, located in a recently restored 17th building, is elegantly furnished with a double room, kitchenette, en-suite bathroom and washing machine. Guests can wander the picturesque streets, explore historical monuments, museums and galleries or simply enjoy an aperitivo in the nearby medieval piazza featuring a 16th century fountain.
Location and surroundings
Nearby attractions include quaint piazzas, parks, galleries, cafés and restaurants and the celebrated “Accademia Carrara” art gallery. The apartment is accessible by bus, either from Orio al Serio International Airport or the train station.
The nearby square (Piazza Delfino) features a pizzeria, a corner shop, two cafés, a new pizza takeaway and a general food store. Numerous shops, a supermarket and a renowned ice-cream parlour can be found at the bottom of Via San Tomaso.
This is actually an extremely charming apartment in an ancient (but recently renovated) building, you can feel the athmosphere of the reneissance here. The whole neighbourhood is the same, with the Citta Alta (upper city) within 8 minutes walk, it is perfect for anyone looking for a little romantic place. I could only speak in superlatives about this :) The only problem we encountered was the fact that the people in Bergamo love to drive a car/motor in the ancient,narrow streets, which is a quite noisy hobby of them.All in all, this is absolutely a recommended place by us.
My husband and I stayed here for 4 nights for our wedding anniversary. It's a great place for couples, lovely self contained appartment, perfect for a short break. Our hosts were fantastic, they had loads of maps and recommendations for interesting places. They even helped us hire a moped!
Really close to the old town and yummy bakeries too.
Great apartments, loads of character, very good value (however the one that overlooks the street is noisy but we were too tired to care). the owner is friendly and offered to pick us up from the train station. Don't make our mistake and go to the wrong Tomaso street!
Just 10 minutes walk from the old city, quite a lot of traffic noise from the street, but we got used to it quickly. The owner was both friendly and helpful.
