If you looking for something different and to experience authentic Brazilian culture close to the beach and and all the main tourist attraction this will be the place.
Back in the days Favela Chapeu mangueira and Babilonia was controlled by street gangs, until it was taken over by the police pacification unit project called 'UPP' in 2009 which has restored peace to the community and enhanced tourism. Nowadays there is no safer place in Rio de Janeiro than this small community.
The best place for travelers who wants to experience authentic Brazilian culture, nature, wildlife and beautiful beaches.
You will wake up with samba tunes from our neighbors radio, enjoy our spectacular view, watch exotic birds and monkeys from our balcony.

Location and surroundings
The Property is located at FAVELA Chapéu Mangueira and Babilonia one of the first pacified favelas of Rio de Janeiro. The neighborhood has a lot of pubs, restaurants and supermarkets and is surrounded by an Environment Protection Area with awesome trekking trails and fantastic view. It only takes 5 min walking to Copacabana beach and is close to all the main tourist attractions.
