I cannot recommend this place enough! Candy is a great host, so welcoming and made me feel at home. The food was great and well priced, eaten on a roof terrace over looking the sea - you cannot go wrong. If you want to get out of Havana but still be close by to pop in, this is a great place for you!

a bit far from Havana, bear in mind. Taxi is around 8-10 CUC to old town. Our room and bathroom were not that clean & and candi was not that nice to us (we're not needy... it's just that we felt a bit like a nuisance for her).
This was one of our best stays in Cuba! We really enjoyed the breakfasts and dinners on the big terrace with beautiful ocean view. Candida and her Crew were always very helpful. We would totally recommend this quiet and peaceful place to visit! Unfortunately there were two points we must mention like the infrastructure around it. If you want to go on sightseeing you must leave the barrio because all the Hemingway stuff fills only half of the day unless you will get inspired like him than you can watch the sea all week and will not get tired because it is beautiful. If you need more action you need to take a cab (which I do not recommend for low budget tourists) or you need to take the bus (not recommended dressed up for a salsa night, very adventurous during rush hour). The other point was the bin in the bath room. In Cuba there are bins for the used toilet paper. We stayed 6 nights and it was not emptied once (sure it would have if we had said something but never occurred to us so I am sorry to write it now). But that was really everything and if you do not book it you will miss it!
