Reviews (6.9 Good)
I recommend this hostel a lot as it is very well located. You are in the old city which is a place you have to visit in Jerusalem. The hostel is perfect, cheap and as mentioned before, perfectly located. The staff is very helpful, very nice and is the best option if you are looking for a comfortable and cheap Hostel in Jerusalem. I love Petra Hostel, totally recommended.
Location is in the Old City of Jerusalem, right near Jaffa Gate; very easy access by foot. Staff did not speak much English, but there is a Tourist Information place up the street which is extremely helpful. We stayed in a dorm style bedroom, fairly comfortable and clean, a bit loud from outdoor activity. Internet access available but free, as no one ever asked us for a fee. The shower was odd...a shwitter. No shower curtain.
Terrible breakfast, rooms dirty, small, bathroom full of mould, open day and night, not very safe, no lockers, not enough toilet paper, but staff very friendly and helpful
The staff was okay and helpfull, the room was clean, but it all seemed very cold. Maybe also because off the wether, but the atmosphere (and the shower!)was just very cold and boring. The kitchen though, which you chare, was very dirty and old. The fridge not working. At night there was a lot of noise from electicity or something in the hallway. I don't really recommend this place. Location though is good if you want to see all the religious importance of Jerusalem.
basic hostel, basic breakfast. good position
