it was great staying at oralias place, she is so friendly. when you stay at her place you will get the cuban feeling!
Oralia is a very nice landlady and gave some some useful tips on the very beginning or our staying on Cuba. She also has a lot of friends in other cities so if you are planning to go on a round trip around Cuba make sure she suggests some nice casas in Vinales, Cienfuegos, etc. This way you will avoid having to fight with dosens casa owners when getting of the Viazul bus. By the way, you will eventually get fed up with eating eggs for breakfast but anyway IMO Oralia makes the best sunny side-up eggs on Cuba and her guayaba juice is just superb.
A very nice casa particular with character near the Plaza de La Revolucion. It is situated in a residential district in Vedado in distance of a 20-30 minute stroll to the Capitolio. The owner, an elderly lady, is really nice and helpful. The room and bathroom as well as the public areas were all clean and well-maintained. Sitting on the beautiful terrace can be very relaxing after long days of city sightseeing. We really liked the place and enjoyed our stay there!
A typical cuban casa particular, Oralia is helpful and the house is wonderful. it is not in a turistic area but this brings a special touch. Pretty far from the center but very near to one of the national bus terminals.
