Baglio delle rose - Bed & Breakfast in Giarre, Italy

At the feet of Mont Etna in a wonderful landscape there is a nice mausion (casale) of the 17th century; it is among citrus trees and fruit trees; it was restred without any innovation but manteining its original look by a young architect; it is suitable either for a pleasant holiday or for a working stay.

It is conducted by La Spina family; they love country life and they take a particular care of their guests trying to make their stay as confortable as posible.

The view from the mausion from the Jonio sea to Naxos bay and to Taormina and Calabria; on the other side threre is Month Etna or Mongibello, the highiest active vulcano in Europe.

The nearest places are Taormina, the gorges of river Alcantara, Castiglione di Sicilia, where there is a golf club, Fiumefreddo natural reserve, Etna park, Riposto turist port, the baroc town of Acireale, Acitrezza with its “faraglioni”, Acicastello with a borbon castle on the sea, the city of Catania with its churches and minuments and the hisghts of Mount Etna.

The country house has 5 bedrooms with independent entrance, each with its bathrooms, TV color, air conditioning, desk etc.

There are also rooms with four beds and lofts for short and long stays.

The guests can visit an old “palmento”, a cellar which was used to make wine till 1975; in it there is an old wood roman trees; the enviroment is rustic and it is built in vulcano stone.

There are also a kitchen and a large parking area.
