Riad Zagouda, Guest House in Marrakech

Was a bit unsure when booking, as I had never used this site before or visited Morocco. However, the booking went through fine and the hostel was Incredible. The staff arranged an airport transfer for us at a small additional price(which was able to fit all 5 of us in,with a seat to spare). We arrived and began to get a little worried as we walked down a small alley, but then as soon as the door to the Riad was opened we were awestruck. The Riad is beautiful with an incredible courtyard (complete with small pool, which sadly we couldn't use due to the season)and beautiful large bedrooms. It felt like we were staying in a 5 star hotel. Not to mention the attentive staff and fabulous cook! The Riad is just around the corner from the famous Square of the Old Medina, and is within walkig distance to all the main attractions in the old city. I would like to thank the staff for making our stay so very comfortable and being so helpful! 5 stars for Riad Zagouda. CL, Edinburgh

This is the perfect place to go in the hustle and bustle of Marrakesh. In a great location close to the main square, but far enough that you can sip on a mint tea on their beautiful terrace and feel a million miles away. Good value if booked through this portal, and even still if not. Perfect for couples and a group of friends, with great hosts that have patience in abundance. Couldn't ask for more.

We stayed only one night at Zagouda when we were on our way to Essaouira. They picked us up from the airport for €15. You can find a cheaper taxi, but this was just too easy. It was a nice Ryad, close to the Djemaa el Fna (5 min walk). Once you close the door to shut the ryad off from the lively medina its very peacefull and atmospheric. Rooms were beautifull with lots of details. The caretaker (Simo) is a nice and helpfull guy. I can't think of any negative things about this place.
