The ' Pri Mraku' guesthouse is situated in an enviable location, about 300 yards from the centre of the city and about the same distance from the old part of the town, which lies beneath the Castle Hill. It is also in the vicinity of the Ivan Cankar Cultural and Congress Centre known as 'Cankarjev dom', as well as the summer festival complex known as Križanke, which was designed by the well-known Slovenian architect Jože Plečnik, the National and University Library, the Slovenian Academy of Science and Art, the Slovenian Philharmonic Hall, the National Opera, Ljubljana's main theatre known as 'Drama' and some of the main faculties of the University of Ljubljana, as well as governmental and other institutions.

The 'Pri Mraku' guesthouse has a long tradition. We are proud to be able to tell our guests that the name 'Pri Mraku' dates back to 1916, and that we are also proud to maintain a tradition of hostelry of more than 150 years.

Today the restaurant at 'Pri Mraku' has a wide choice of dishes and fine wines, which can satisfy the most demanding guests. A dining-room is available, and in the summer the garden area can be used, which has an impressive vine estimated to be 200 years old.
