5. ALICE SPRING AND THE ULURU
In Central Australia, known as Outback, you find the Uluru, the monolith sacred to the aboriginal community, it's definitely a must see but, be careful, you can't climb it up!
6. AIRLIE BEACH AND THE WHITEHAVEN
Airlie Beach is a jewel on the coast of Queensland, hiding under its water the coral reef. This is not the only reason to stop here for some days during your trip.This is also the starting point to explore the beautiful beach of Whitehaven, with white sands and untouched nature.
7. SURFER PARADISE
If you are planning to go surfing, you can't miss out this paradise for surfers (in the true sense of the word!), one of the most sought destinations for surf lovers and also for those looking for a place where to have fun!
8. KAKADU NATIONAL PARK
Included in the Human Heritage list, this park hides some natural wonders it is hard to believe it, including 2 different (but both beautiful) waterfalls: Jim Jim and Twin Falls. It's only 3 hours from Darwin.
9. BROOME
Known also as the pearl of Western Australia, this area was famous for pearls harvesting, you can visit a museum dedicated to the pearls.
One of Broome's curiosities is the famous “Staircase to the moon”, an optical illusion created by the moon reflections on the sea waves, creating a sort of golden staircase.

10. NOOSA
What a natural wonder, where to relax is a must, along with some more activities like surfing, walking in the eucalyptus forest or exploring the Fraser Island to do whale watching or dolphin watching.
11. WAVE ROCK
You might not know it, but close to the city of Hyden, you find a rock shaped like a wave. This is a granite rock and its peculiar shape is a consequence of the water and wind erosion. If you can't surf, you can always take a photo snap here and pretend you did it on a rock!
12. KIAMA BLOWHOLE
That's the biggest natural blowhole in the world! The water pushed out by the blowhole can also reach 25 metres in height!
13. MAGNETIC ISLAND
The name says it all, Magnetic Island is an 8-km wide island near Townsville. Why is it called this way? Because it is literally a paradise of wild nature.
It boasts a perfect temperature all year around.
14. CAPRICORN CAVES
Beautiful caves in Queensland, with different hiking trail options, from the more adventurous to the most off beaten ones, where helmet and torch are required. The wheel-chair friendly Cathedral Cave is also worth a visit.
