Reviews of Ai Boteri
Façade nearly in ruins but inside they are renewed appartments. Two minutes from Ponte Rialto. Good option.
Even though it wasnt rated top grade, we enjoyed the stay enormously. The location, the quieteness and the cleanliness was excellent and exceeded expectations in a hostel. To sum up, I definetely recommend this hostel!
Excellent location, cleaan accomodation and most friendly staff.
It is a nice room, but you see from the street no hotelsign and you can t deposit your luggage.
There was cold during day and no hot water.
excellent choice, hotel in the center. Unfinished, needs a little more furniture but good look, clean, nice people. Good rate quality/price
ai boteri is one of the cheapest central located hostel in venice(and i know what i am talking cause i've done a detailed reserch before booking). the price/quality mark is quite fair. it was clean, quiet and comfortable for resting after exhausting tours in the city. the guy at the reception guest is rather friendly (i lived on the 3rd floor). in front of the hostel there are 2 minimarkets and rialto mercado is within 2/3 min walk (this depends on your speed...i'm quiet fast). to conclude, as long as i'll be a regular student or a struggling intern i would gladly book accomodation at ai boteri...seeya! daiana.
Both the rooms and the bathrooms are very clean. We have not used the kitchen, but it seemed to be very clean and equiped with basics. We had a large double room (linen and towels perfectly clean, working ac/heater) which included a mini-breakfast in a bar downstairs (coffee and croissant). The hostel is located in close proximity to the Rialto bridge, a number of bars and some cheap but very nice restaurants (Al Nono Risorto-ask for the directions at the reception!!) Our only comments would be: 1. you cannot leave your luggage at the reception once your checked out. We have been doing a lot of budget travelling around EU and this was never a problem. There is enough room at the reception to e.g. put some lockers (hence we rated staff as 80, although otherwise they were absolutely great and helpful). 2. There was no rubbish bin in the rooms and also no toilet paper in the toilets-my husband found it quite embarassing to have to ask for it at the reception! Having said that, we will stay there when we go to Venice next summer:-)
Good accomodation. But it will take 20 mins to reach hotel frm St.Lucia station. Kitchen, microoven is not available. Entirly is good. No baggage allowed after checkout.
