During Thanksgiving week, from the 22-26th of November, you should definitely come to Amsterdam for the Cannabis cup. The events were set up by the High times, who wanted to celebrate the freedom of smoking Cannabis.

All coffee shops in Amsterdam will have the opportunity to show their different types of cannabis. Some include Marijuana, Hashish, seeds and hemp products. These are all seen as 'soft drugs'. There are around 2000 cannabis lovers who try the various types of soft drugs in coffee shops in Amsterdam. Then, at the end of the week the best type of cannabis will win a trophy!

You can get your 'judge pass' tickets online or from the 19th of November at the “Powerzone” in Amsterdam. If you just want to experience the event, but don't want to judge the products you can get a ticket at the door of the participating coffee shops or nightclub. At night there will be music and discussion talks at the nightclub, Melkweg.
