Budget Accomodation for Skiers, Snowboarders and Hikers

Are you an adventurous and outdoorsy type? One of the best places in Europe for adventure and activities is Switzerland! If you are planing your trip to Switzerland, you have to visit the Jungfrau Region. This region is a few miles south of Interlaken and is a paradise for backpackers who are looking for extreme adventures. Felix Mendelssohn wrote: «If you haven’t seen the Interlaken countryside, you haven’t seen Switzerland.» Let's go!

The Jungfrau Region is home of the largest glacier and the highest waterfalls in Europe. No place has better mountain views and meters of dry light powdery snow when winter comes. In Jungfrau, these are guaranteed! The skiing and snowboarding cannot be better, there are lots of new slopes, fast lifts, and cozy lodges. The most famous peaks in the Jungfrau are: the Maiden (4158m), the Mönch (the Monk at 4099m) and the Eiger - the Orge (3970m).

When Summer hits the Jungfrau Region you will come face to face with nature, jagged mountain peaks rippling into the distance and thickly forested alpine valleys. Here, you’ll share the excitement with wild animals, open spaces and the soothing rustle of the wind through the trees. Summer here is the perfect place for hiking, fishing, canoeing, trekking and more.

Interlaken is located between Thunnersee and the Brienzersee lakes. The very meaning of the name, Interlaken, is 'between lakes'. The city is based at the foot of the mountains Eiger, Mönch and Jungfrau, a perfect place for paragliding, canoeing, river rafting, skydiving and other activities. Interlaken is a place for anybody looking for new experiences and challenges.
