The city of Vaasa is located at the narrowest point of the Gulf of Bothnia in Finland. On the opposite side of the sea there is a Swedish city Umeå. The distance between these two cities is only about 80 kilometres. The sea with its countless islands gives Vaasa an unique atmosphere.
