Animal Friendly Hostels

More than just to keep you company or as a fashion statement: for many years, domestic animals have been considered true members of the family. Surprisingly, Italy is one of the most pet-friendly nations in Europe, with a total of more than 60 million domestic animals in the country. (The UK is not far behind either, with 51 million pets, shared between 26% of the population). Let's just say, its pretty clear that we love our furry (or not-so-furry) friends!

But, what happens when you decide to go travelling, or on holiday? Finding someone to feed your beloved pet is not always easy, and professional solutions such as Kennels or Cat Homes can be pretty expensive. And anyway, we know that you can imagine abandoning them at home, even for a couple of nights!

But you shouldn't worry, as while the pet industry is growing, tourism has found a way to keep with the times and it's no longer hard to imagine going on holiday with your pet. Travelling with pets has now become a reality. Pet-Friendly beaches, restaurants, and transportation are increasing in numbers, giving their guests the opportunity to bring their 4-legged friends along.

And don't think that staying in low-cost accommodation such as hostels will stop you from bringing your fluffy family along either! There are in fact hundreds of properties that have opened their doors to pets, even dedicating entire spaces and activities to animals of every size ... hostels and budget hotels included! With a bit of flexibility, and a clear sense of your civic responsibility (of course, the owner is responsible for the pet, not the other way round) and respecting the basic rules, you can enjoy your holidays with your pet by your side!

We've already written about some of the perfect hostels which accept your pets, but regardless of where you are travelling, HostelsClub has got you covered. By using our site you can immediately see all the properties that will welcome you and your pet with welcome arms by following the steps below:

Step 1 - Enter the period and the destination city, then click 'Search'

Step 2 – Choose the property you like the most from the list

Step 3 - Scroll down the property page until you reach the Important to Know section and check out the Animals Policy, where you will be given information regarding pets and any extra pricing.

So there you have it, you never have to worry about leaving your pet at home again. Take them on your travels, and enjoy the adventure!
