April is the month of a new season - Spring. People are getting the smiles back on their faces as the sun warms up the air after a cold winter. April is also the month that the birds and bees build their nests and April is also the month that us “people” get our travel vibes back. Want to explore some more of the world? So all you poetry lovers head off on a trip to meet the American poets! Besides poetry, April is also the month where Jazz music gets a special appreciation. Many places in the world have jazz bars and clubs were you can have a fun night out, but Jazz was originally born in New Orleans, so make a visit to New Orleans and find out if the music is still alive, as it was in the good old days. Another fun fact is that in the States, April is the National Grilled Cheese Month. Someone came up the idea that this piece of food was worth a month's worth of celebration! 13th of April: The New Year for Thailand!! This day all inhabitants throw water on everyone! The idea of this tradition is that the water is first cleansed by Buddha and you throw the blessed water over the people. 19th of April: You can participate or be a spectator at the Boston Marathon.The Boston Marathon is part of the world largest marathons. About 25,000 people run this marathon through 8 cities and towns and finish in Boston's Back Bay. The race starts at 9:22 AM and is about 26 miles long. 25th of April: Go for a weekend to London and watch or run in the London marathon. The race is also 26 miles long and starts at Greenwich Park continuing through Surrey Quays, Brunel Rd, Tooley St, Canary Wharf, the Tower of London, Embankment, Parliament Square and Birdcage Walk. The finish line will be at the Buckingham Palace. You can either run and see all the sights along your journey or take the underground and hop from one to the other sight in London.
