The highlights... ----------------------------------------------------------- North Bound / Direction San Pedro (4 days minimum) ----------------------------------------------------------- *Day 1: Santiago – PN Fray Jorge – Valle del Elqui* - Evergreen forests in the P.N. Fray Jorge. - Mystical energy in Vicuña, Valley of the Elqui. - Night of stars, Mamalluca Observatory. *Day 2: La Serena – Vallenar – Bahía Inglesa* - Beaches, architecture and history – La Serena. - Mining and agriculture, Vallenar. - Warm climate and white sand, Bahía Inglesa. *Day 3: Bahía Inglesa- Tal Tal – La Portada de Antofagasta* - Old route of the Saltpeter, Tal Tal and” Oficina Alemania” - Incredible sculpture in the middle of the desert” Hand of Desert” - Geologic formation in the Pacific Ocean La Portada de Antofagasta. *Day 4: Antofagasta- Baquedano – San Pedro* - Trains cemetery Baquedano Station. - Calama, city next to the greatest copper deposit of the world. - Atacameña cultura in San Pedro de Atacama. ----------------------------------------------------------- Excursions in San Pedro (3 days) ----------------------------------------------------------- *Day 5: Salar de Atacama – Toconao – Laguna Chaxa – San Pedro* - Mountain salt range of the Salar de Atacama. - Petroglyphs town of Toconao and Valle de Jerez. - Nature and Flamencos at the Laguna Chaxa. *Day 6: San Pedro - Pucará de Quitor – Valle de la luna – San Pedro* - Archaeology and History - Pucara de Quitor and Ayllus. - Salt caves, gorgeous dunes and hills in the Valley of the Moon. *Day 7: Geiser del Tatio – San Pedro* - Altiplano - Thermal Geyser of the Tatio, hot springs. - Town of Machuca, fauna, vicuñas, llamas, Vizcachas. - Archaeological museum or walk through the town. ----------------------------------------------------------- South Bound / Direction Santiago (minimum 3 days) ----------------------------------------------------------- *Day 8: San Pedro- Valle de la Muerte– Pan de Azúcar* - Valle de la Muerte - Sandboard (optional). - N.P. It does not include any entrance fees or accommodation, but we can help you to organize your hostels along the way.
