Opis: At the fine bottom d' a valley of the High Atlas, with hundred kilometres of Marrakech, a mineral landscape shelters a splendid jewel of Moslem structure: the Mosque of Tinmel. The ways precipices of the mountains were the ways of conquest of the knowledge and the faith of the dynasty almohade.

It is to honour Ibn Toumert buried in Tinmel that Abd el Moumen made build the Mosque of Tinmel in 1153, the mosque of Tinmel develops on a surface, almost square, of 48,10 m length and 43,60 m of depth.

Its naves are today with open sky, but there remain a few pieces of its ceiling of cedar, the mihrab was also restored to him. To walk in these alleys to open sky, between pure and stripped arcs, to admire the few floral capitals and geometrical decorations, it is to offer itself one moment in another world.
