Descrizione: An 8 day ski tour, filled with 6 days of Skiing in the High Atlas mountains of Morocco, around the highest Peak in North Africa, Jbel Toubkal.

Period: February to April

Rise positive and negative: 1400 m

Experienced Skiiers

This is a Skiing trek in the High Atlas mountains.

The destination is currently not a Ski resort, so experience and strong Skiing is advised.

Additionally, there are no Ski lifts, so some trekking is required. However, we provide Mules and staff to carry bags and equipment.

About your guide:

Houssine, Atlas Mountain guide, originally from a Berber area, he worked as a muleteer for a long time with individuals and groups.

In 2000 he graduated from the “Royal Moroccan Federation of Skiing of and Mountaineering.

Houssine aims to introduce his own Berber culture to his customers as an old culture in North Africa.

DAY 01:

Upon your Arrival at Marrakech, we will have a Reception by our staff and a transfer to your hotel.

Today, we visit the famous, beautiful and charming red, dynastic city of marrakech, the souk and the tomb-museums, Koranic schools, rampart-mosques, minarets, palaces and gardens.

DAY 02 : Marrakech- Imlil-Tazaghart

We transfer from Marrakech to meet in imlil with the equipe muleteers and carriers.

At col Mezzik (2500m), we lunch in the sheep-fold of Tamsoult, then if the season is snowed, we will slip the skis starting from the cascade (2400m), in the direction of the refuge of Tazaghart (3000m).

This section is 700m of rise and 250m of descent, then 800m of rise. The mules will be replaced by the carriers at the cascade. We spend the night at Tazaghart refuge.

DAY 03 :refuge - Tazaghart (3000m) - col Tadaft (3800m)

Today we take a descent towards refuge Toubkal, of 5 and a half hours.

At 08:30hrs we commence.

To get to the col of Tadaft, a cord is necessary to avoid cramps. There is one only passage which will be difficult.

We take lunch in the col, a wonderful sight from the col tadaft, with the Toubkal in the front of us. The remainder of the tops exceeding the 4000m. We take a fabulous descent, which is stiff at the beginning, with the fine snow joining us for a total of 800m of rise and 600m of descent.

DAY 04:

Refuge Toubkal- top Toubkal- Refuge Toubkal- 5h30

Today, we rise at 7AM , leave at 8h30, so that we do not go up at the time when the snow is cold and very hard.

We have 3hours of rise and a panoramic sight on the valleys around Toubkal, followed by a fabulous descent towards the refuge of Toubkal. This is 1000m of rise and 1000m of descent.

We stay at the Toubkal refuge again tonight.

DAY 05:

Refuge Toubkal - Rise ouan oukrim - or Imeghras or Akioud.

We leave towards 7AM, in the direction to Ras Nouan Oukrim, larga combe, then the col, then the top, with a splendid sight, especially on the valleys of the southern slope of the toubkal.

We take a long descent of the top 4083m until 2600m, and take lunch with Marabout chamharouch.

After lunch, we descend on foot towards the Armed village, then Imlil to our lodging.

1600m with ski and 1000m with foot.

DAY 06:

Foot of the col Taamatert 2300 - Ousarou - Bouiguenouane - Ousarou

One of the most beautiful stages, with mules carrying our tents and mattress, we head towards the col Tamatert (2300m), then descend towards the Imenane valley, then we approach with our mules on foot to the top Bouiguenouane (3800m).

We take lunch and then continue to the top, a 1400m of rise easy, regular, with a small valley, combe, Crete.

We arrive at the top of a splendid sight with Toubkal on our left and we have a wonderful descent towards the base camp (2400m). The most beautiful descent.

1400m of rise and 1400m of descent.

We then find our camp with Ousarou (2400m).

DAY 07:

Ousarou - col Likkemt - Imlil- Marrakech

Still another top to be gone up today, early in the morning we head towards col Likkemt (3600m), which is not to be missed. We have around a 3 hour rise, and then return to the same bivouac. Then we have around 2 hours 30 minutes of descent towards Imlil with the mules carrying our items.

The car will wait for us to go down into Marrakech, 1200m of rise and descent.

The night is spent in a hotel in Marrakech.

DAY 08:

Départ to the airport.

In the event of an incident or event which prevents you from joining the tour or travelling, we are happy to work with you to provide you with confirmations for your insurance company.

Changes to reservations are possible, without penalty.

If the change results in a different total reservation cost, you will be advised of any finanacial changes at that time.
