This tour is designed to bring you in touch with the enchanting Tuscan countryside and its world famous Chianti Wines. We will whisk you away from the hustle and bustle of the city in our comfortable air-conditioned van to the serene and beautiful Tuscan countryside. Our Chianti Wine Tour starts with an excursion through Tuscan vineyards where you will learn hands-on about how the grapes are cultivated. After your first introduction to the wine making process, we will bring you to a wine cellar located in a Villa that dates back to the 17th century in the heart of the 'Chianti’ wine area. At the Villa you will receive an up close explanation about the production and aging process of Chianti Wines and after touring the wine cellar, you will sample the estate's wines and get to taste the Villa's own hand-made extra virgin olive oil. An authentic 3 course Tuscan meal will be served with a fine selection of Chianti wines in a nearby medieval castle built in the 13th century, where a community of 40 people still calls home! Tour departs daily from Florence at 9.30 AM in front of the big McDonalds just outside the central train station in Florence (SMN), ), 'Largo alinari#1'.
