This two days/one night tour will take you to one of the oldest towns in East Africa. Bagamoyo is located only 75km (one hour drive) from Dar Es Salaam This old town founded towards the end of the 18th century was once the capital of German East Africa and an important Arabs' trading port along East Africa. The Holy Ghost fathers established their first mission station in Bagamoyo in 1868, and it was in its chapel that Dr. Livingstone's body was brought from the interior and kept before being shipped back to Europe. Remains of German's colonial buildings as well as those of Arabs are the main attractions in Bagamoyo. Kaole ruins, 13th C Shirazi town remains are also another attraction
