A 5 day trek in Northern Morocco, visiting Chefchaouen & The Rif Mountain region. Itinerary: Day1: Our Morocco trek Adventure starts north of Chefchaouen's medina and follows a 4WD track that winds its way around and skirts Jebel el Kelaa. The track follows on past a natural spring and on to the highest point of the walk, the 1800m Sfiha Telj pass. From the Sfiha Telj pass we will head east, again along a 4WD track but this one is thankfully in the shade. We then arrive at the small hamlet of Azilane and from here the track extends for about an hour to the small settlement of Afeska where we will spend the night at the campsite. Day 2: After a good nights rest and enjoyment of the local area, we will be heading to the village of Akchour, which is a pleasant place to relax after a hard day in the sun. We will head north again going through Afeska, and reach Sidi Meftah where there stands a mausoleum. We then visit the village of Imizzar, and follow an old path that leads to the ancient bridge at Pont Farda. Following the river for a while, we pass the village of Ouslaf. We then reach the village of Akchour. We then rest here at the campsite for our second night. Day 3: The start of the third sees us following the path of the Oued Kelaa River and the Jebel Azra. We then visit the village settlement of Izrafene and a spring, arriving at the village of Abou Bnar. We then camp near by the river of Sidi Jil. Day 4: Today we pass through a wonderful area full of Pine trees, the banks f the Jebel Lakraa and the House of the Talassemtane National Park guardian. We then have some exploration of the national park as we prepare for our night here at a campsite. Day 5: Our trek today is a relatively short stint from the National park to Bab Taza.
