A 2 day 1 night Trekking tour in the Atlas mountain region of Morocco. Day 1 Marrakech - Imlil – Tizi n’Tamaterte – Wanskra Your guide will meet you at your location in Marrakech and transfer you to Imlil. After breakfast, we set out today towards the east ; journeying up winding mule tracks to the tizi n’ tamaterte (2279m) to enjoy the amazing panorama of the surrounding atlas mountain range peaks and valleys on our way to our picnic spot on the tizi n’tamaterte , overlooking jbel oukaimeden and the beautiful encircled plateau. After lunch set of following the path down to imnane valley until we reach our gite d’etape in wanskra village. 5 to 6 hours walking. Day 2 wanskra – ikkis – tizi n’aguersiwal – aguersiwal – imlil - Marrakech After breakfast , we set off down the assif imnane valley, passing through several berber hamlets and then up to the tizi n’ageursiwal (2000m). Once through the col we shall now go down more winding mule tracks leading to the village of aguersiwal (lunch spot ). After lunch, we set off in river bed of Imlil , allow another hour to get up the valley to imlil. 6 hours walking. At the end of the day, you will be transferred back to your location in Marrakech. The trek package includes: * Transfers between Marrakech and Imlil * Staff * Mules * Cook * Qualified and offical Mountain guide * Accomodation as described * Breakfasts, lunches and evening meal. Accomodation is in Wanskra village in a small, local refuge. A cook escorts you and your party on the tour and full meals, as described above are included. Vegetarian diets are always catered for. Departures are available every day, starting from Marrakech or Imlil. INFORMACIÓN ACERCA DEL TOUR Houssine, Atlas Mountain guide, originally from a Berber area, he worked as a muleteer for a long time with individuals and groups. In 2000 he graduated from the “Royal Moroccan Federation of Skiing and Mountaineering.'In addition to his experience and knowledge in the Atlas Mountain, this diploma qualified him as a Mountain Guide, able to organize trips of all kinds around the Kingdom of Morocco for walkers & non-walkers. Houssine aims to introduce his own Berber culture to his customers as an old culture in the North Africa. Starting points: Marrakech or Imlil Rating: Easy Seasons: All year round. Minimum of 2 Adults required. Children aged 10 years and under join the trek at half the adult rate. 1 child aged 5 years and under is allowed to join the trek free of charge. All deposits are completely non refundable. Cancellations within 14 days of the service start date are charged 50% of the balance outstanding. Cancellations within 7 days of the service start date are charged at 100% of the outstanding balance. No shows will be charged at 100% of the outstanding balance. In the event of an incident or event which prevents you from joining the tour or travelling, we are happy to work with you to provide you with confirmations for your insurance company. Changes to reservations are possible, without penalty. If the change results in a different total reservation cost, you will be advised of any finanacial changes at that time. |
