Descripción: A 15 day 4X4 adventure into the deep south of Morocco.
Starting from Marrakech.
You can attend colourful sunrises and sets, drink tea with nomads and enjoy absolute serenity, relaxation and meditation oppurtunities.
Here, a famous sign points toward Timbuktu, 52 days away by camel, and you can spend a night in the desert under canvas experiencing traditional Berber hospitality.
A 4x4 vehicle will take you off the beaten track on the rough back roads over the mountains via the famous Kasbahs of Ait Benhaddou and return you to Marrakech.
Day 1:
Free airport transfers included.
Our tour starts in Marrakech and our guide will meet you and take you to the hotel which is inside of the médina.
This evening is free to visit the place of Jamaa El Fna.
Day 2:
Our Departure from Marrakech at 08:00hrs leads us over the Atlas mountains to Ouarzazate via the Tizi N'Tichka pass.
We Stop to visit the former Palace of Pasha El Gualoui, in Telouet. Then on along the Aït Ben Haddou valley.
This is film-making country, the backdrop to such films as Laurence of Arabia, Romancing the Stone and Mary of Nazareth. Tonight, Camp near the Ksar.
Day 3:
We Leave Aït Ben Haddou, passing through Amerzgane and Taznaght on the way to Foum Zguid, where we spend the night under canvas. This is a beautiful road through oasis and villages.
Day 4:
We leave Foum Zguid and our route to the night's camping place at Chegaga leads us into the desert-arid plains- black peaks and valleys of sand and tamarinds. There are three days of desert life and experiences before you at this point.
Day 5:
Striking camp at Chegaga, we go on towards Mhamid and Zagora. We spend the night under the desert stars among the small dunes near Tizi N'Tafilalet.
Day 6:
On towards the El Maider dunes, a prefect place to observe the symphony of colour that is sunset in the desert.
Another night in the peace and silence of the desert.
Day 7:
A relaxed and colorful day as we visit the Tafilalet valley, cradle of the Alouite dynasty. We set up camp near Merzouga and climb some of the Erg Chebbi dunes.
Day 8:
Off to Erfoud via Tinerhir with a visit to the fossil beds and a night under canvas in the Todra gorge between beetling cliffs.
Day 9:
Deeper into the Todra gorge towards Tamtatouchte, Known as the farthest village from 'civilization'.
Here, Man lives in harmony with a harsh, unforgiving and yet infinitely beautiful natural world. Another camp is set up for us in the Dades gorge near Msemrir.
Day 10:
We travel today through the Dades gorge to Boumalne, Klâat Mgouna and to Boutaghrar for overnight accommodation in the tents.
Day11:
From Boutaghrar we travel across the Iguernane plateau to set up camp in Skoura.
Day12:
Setting off in the Ourzazate direction, we visit the town and its Kasbahs and camp near Taliouine.
Day 13:
Up to the Tizi N'Test pass, wonderful villages and spectacular landscape.
This is a chance to see 'the argan' a type of tree that exists only in Western Morocco and Mexico.The last night of the trek is spend in the village of Imlil, 68km Marrakech.
Day13:
Return to Marrakech in the morning.
Day 14:
A guided tour of Marrakech will be arranged for the morning, with the rest of the day free to explore the sights and souqs.
Day 15 : Today the tour ends and you will recieve trandfers to the Airport or train or bus stations to continue your journey or head home.
About your guide:
Houssine, Atlas Mountain guide, originally from a Berber area, he worked as a muleteer for a long time with individuals and groups. In 2000 he graduated from the “Royal Moroccan Federation of Skiing of and Mountaineering.
In addition to his experience and knowledge in the Atlas Mountain, this diploma qualified him as a Mountain Guide, able to organize trips of all kinds around the Kingdom of Morocco for walkers & non-walkers.
Houssine aims to introduce his own Berber culture to his customers as an old culture in the North Africa.

Children aged 12 years and under: 50% discount
Children aged 5 years or under: 75% discount
Cancellation policy:
All deposits are completely non refundable.
Cancellations within 14 days of the service start date are charged 50% of the balance outstanding.
Cancellations within 7 days of the service start date are charged at 100% of the outstanding balance.
No shows will be charged at 120% of the outstanding balance.
In the event of an incident or event which prevents you from joining the tour or travelling, we are happy to work with you to provide you with confirmations for your insurance company.
Changes to reservations are possible, without penalty.
If the change results in a different total reservation cost, you will be advised of any finanacial changes at that time.
